Usually no. Most of our customers like to order their amps with custom colors and features, and it wouldnt be cost effective to try to keep different version of each of our models on hand. Yes, we can build an accurate recreation of most of the classic amps of the 50's, 60's, 70's that you can gig with, and not worry about reliability of a 40 year old amp, or worry about banging up your prized, vintage, amp at the local bar gig.
Can I special order my amp with custom features ? (note: see the CUSTOM SHOP page) Absolutely. Cosmetically, you can order your amp in just about any color tolex, and grille-cloth you can imagine, from our "signature" blue, to standard black, to freakout lime green, and many other colors. You can also order them in traditional or worn Tweed fabric covering for that true vintage vibe. As for modifications to the amp's standard circuitry, we aim to satisfy every one of your needs as a player.
You want a little more gain? We can do that.
You want an effects loop added? We can do that.
Just about any feature you would like to have, we can do it.
Send us an email, or give us a call - and we'll talk about what Twister Amps can custom build for you to help you get closer to YOUR tone.
Why are your amps all blue?
Actually they aren't ALL blue. However we picked blue as our standard color for several reasons. There are other companies building amps of different colors which have become instantly recognisable just from the color alone... Orange Amps comes to mind. Nobody else seemed to be building Blue amps, so we decided that would be our signature color. Of course we also just dig it... Blue is a cool color.
If you really don't like blue, (or are allergic) we'll happily build your amp in any color you like at little or no extra charge.
Why should I buy a Twister Amp instead of some other brand?
Helping you find great guitar tone, as opposed to other mass produced amps that may be built in some factory in China by a machine, or by people who don't even own a guitar. If you compare our quality of work against any mass production amp on the market today, and then realize that our prices are very comparable or lower than that of your typical mass produced amp, we think you'll find that Twister Amps gives you one of the best values in guitar amplification you'll find anywhere.
Customer service is a very big part of what we pride ourselves in providing for our customers. Tone is a very subjective thing, and when you buy a new amp from one of the big amp companies, and decide that it doesn't quite sound exactly the way you want it, you don't have many options. You either sell the amp, or take it to your local "Electronics Guru" if you have one, and have them try to modify it to get the tone you are looking for.
At Twister amps, we can build you a custom amp based on one of our fine production models, and with your input before the amp build ever starts, we can decide on what tonal direction your amp should go in. If you purchase a production model amp from us, and at some future point in time, you decide that you would like changes to be made, you can talk to us directly, tell us what kind of tone you're after, and for a small fee, we can tweak the amps voice to suite your tastes.
Try getting that kind of service from most of your major amp companies!
Overall, when you look at the quality, service, and price, we believe that no mass production amp maker comes close to the value we can offer to you.
