Just thought I would give you an update on my new F3. First of all I was a bit concerned about giving up my Bassman because the Bassman had awesome, warm cleans. I am shocked at the cleans that the F3 produces. It is every bit as full and articulate as my Bassman. I love how the master volume works. The gain on this amp is awesome. Even at low volumes the distortion is full and crunchy. My favorite sounds are produced when the voltage is set to low voltage on the pentode mode and the volume set on about 8 and the master is set around 3-4. These settings produce tonal nirvana!! I can't say enough good things about this amp. Thanks for all your help!!!
Hey Jade, I took the green head to it's first gig today. It absolutely killed the Mesa head I've been using for the last few years. The pedal set up that I came up with worked perfectly. I've owned a lot of stuff over the years (Fender, Marshal, Rivera, Mesa, Ampeg, etc...) and this may be my favorite amp I've ever gigged with. It's extremely versatile and musical. UPS drops a box on my porch on exactly the day promised. Inside is a pretty blue Twister F2. 18 watts, 1x12 combo - just the ticket for club gigs and recording.
Plugged it in, checked it out, and took it with me to work on last night.

It turned out to be one of the best nights that my band has ever had - the place was jumping, the band was killing - and a lot of
that had to do with the Twister. Seriously; the guitar sound was
so good, so rich and harmonic laden, that I felt like freakin' Superman. Good tone can do that for a player - it just seeemed that every note I played, rang, soared, or roared, and I could do
no wrong! The rest of the band fed off that energy, and it lifted the entire evening for everyone.
I'm absolutely serious about this - good sound can do that, not just for the player, but for the band and when they catch fire, even the audience.

Got the Dust Devil and took it to rehearsal Sat.
Just plugged straight in and channelled Keef and Billy G all night long. It's simply the most touch sensitive - mojolicious amp I have ever played. Just great. I am sure the honeymoon will last a long time.

I just wanted to let you know that I have
never been so satisfied with an amplifier as I am with the Dust Devil! The workmanship
is beautiful and the tone is stunning! I get
such rockin' distortion out of this amp that I really no longer need any pedals. Just guitar, cable, and Dust Devil! I can, when I need it, get this tone at true bedroom levels too thanks to the Variwatt feature (my wife says you should rename the amp the "Marriage-Saver"). Even though I am still getting to know the amp and will most definitely experiment with different tones, I am overall very pleased with the amp. It does almost exactly what I wanted, which is to have a quality full on distorted sound and be able to control that from my guitar. I did not want to have to use a pedalboard or crank a Marshall to do it, either. I wanted a low wattage amp that would sound like a cranked amp, and that is what this amp does.
