	I get such rockin' distortion out of this amp that I really no longer need any pedals ... I can, when I need it, get this tone at true bedroom levels too thanks to the Variwatt feature (my wife says you should rename the amp the "Marriage-Saver"). Unlike a standard Master Volume control on most amps, which just decrease the amount of signal that gets sent to the power tubes, the Vari-Watt circuit does nothing to the signal inside the amp. It changes the actual wattage output of the power tube(s).

The advantage of this? With the volume cranked up, and the Vari-Watt turned down, the power tube still thinks it's working very hard, and you can get power tube distortion and saturation but at extremely low volumes!

This is simply not possible with a standard Master Volume control. And since the Vari-Watt circuit is not in the signal path, your tone doesn't get changed, It just get's quieter.

Vari-Watt is a circuit we've added to the amps power supply that has control over the voltage being sent to the power tube. By controling this voltage, we can change the output wattage of the amp.

With the "Vari-Watt" control turned all the way up, the amp is at full power. With this control turned all the way down, you will be able to drop the output wattage all the way down to less than 1/2 watt for true bedroom volume.

The Vari-Watt circuit is currently offered as a stock feature on our Dust Devil and Devil's Deluxe amps, but is also available as a custom option or a mod to an existing amp!
